1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Budget Bites ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Budget Bites is a meal planning application that helps users:
- Plan weekly meals within a budget
- Browse and save recipes
- Generate grocery shopping lists
- Track ingredient costs
3. Account Registration
To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate information
- Keep your login credentials secure
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Be responsible for all activity under your account
4. Subscriptions and Payments
Free Tier: Budget Bites offers free access to approximately 20 recipes and core features.
Budget Bites Pro: A premium subscription that unlocks all 100+ recipes and premium features.
- Monthly: $2.99/month
- Yearly: $23.99/year (save 33%)
Payment Processing: All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. By subscribing, you also agree to Apple's terms of service.
Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription anytime through your Apple ID settings. No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods.
5. Price Estimates Disclaimer
Important: All grocery prices shown in Budget Bites are estimates only. Actual prices vary by store, location, and time. Budget Bites is not responsible for differences between estimated and actual grocery costs.
6. User Conduct
You agree NOT to:
- Use the App for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer or hack the App
- Share your account credentials with others
- Circumvent subscription requirements
- Scrape or copy recipe content for commercial use
7. Intellectual Property
All content in Budget Bites, including recipes, images, design, and code, is owned by Budget Bites or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
You retain ownership of any personal data you input (meal plans, grocery lists, preferences).
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Budget Bites is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind
- We are not liable for any dietary, health, or allergic reactions from recipes
- We are not liable for differences between estimated and actual grocery prices
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the past 12 months
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Budget Bites, its owners, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the state where Budget Bites is headquartered.
